Unheated ruby value and price
There are three categories of rubies: unheated, heated, and treated.
The price and value of each product vary greatly, but please be aware that there are some vendors who will sell the product at a high price without explaining it to you.
Unheated ruby literally refers to a ruby that has been polished and cut without being heated as a natural rough stone, but there are important points to be noted here.
Not everything has value unless it is heated.
① A ruby with high transparency, red or pinkish red color, and few inclusions should be purchased if it is truly valuable and the price is reasonable.
② Problematic unheated rubies are those that are of poor quality, have many scratches and inclusions, break when heated, or have little transparency, and are sold unheated without being heated.
At jewelry stores and airports overseas, they are sold at high prices to uninformed tourists, but they are worthless.Even in Japan, there are unscrupulous traders who sell unheated rubies of 5 to 50 carats to ordinary people for millions or even tens of millions of yen, when they are actually worth tens of thousands of yen.
