When we arrived in Delhi, we immediately hired a guide and visited one large jeweler after another.



But I didn't know anything about rubies, sapphires, emeralds, or diamonds.

Still, I pretended to be a jewelry professional from Japan and started purchasing.

Using "lapis lazuli" as the only standard I knew, I memorized the prices of the highest quality and lowest quality, and visited jewelry stores based on that.

I narrowed it down to three stores by determining which stores were honest, trustworthy, and cheap.

From morning until night, we looked at various gems such as star rubies, sapphires, and cat's eyes.

There, I gained first-hand knowledge of quality and price and began studying jewelry.

The guide I went with seemed to be taken aback by the way I continued to stare at the jewels in silence for so long.



After 4 days of visiting jewelry stores, I didn't buy anything.

Our guide told us that there was a jeweler in India, located a little far away, in a town called Jaipur.

"Do you want to go there?"

My intuition was spot on.

“I definitely want to go!”



Early the next morning, we headed to Jaipur, which took six hours by car at that time.

For some reason, I felt nervous and excited ever since the night before.

I had a feeling that something was going to happen.
